Description
The model of the bulk product absorbed dose rate distribution in a semi industrial irradiation plant is presented. In this plant the products are subject to a dynamic irradiation process: single-plaque, single-direction, four-passes. The additional two passes, also one on each side of the plaque, serve to minimize the lateral dose variation as well as the depth-dose non-uniformity. The first stage of this model takes only into account the direct absorbed dose rate; the model outputs are the depth-dose distribution and the lateral-dose distribution. The calculated absorbed dose in the bulk product and its uniformity-ratio after the dynamic irradiation process for different products is compared. The model results are in good agreement with the experimental measurements in a bulk of irradiated product; and the air absorbed dose rate in the irradiation chamber behind the product subject to the dynamic irradiation process. Se presenta la primera parte del modelado de la distribucion de las tasas de dosis absorbidas en productos que reciben un proceso de irradiacion dinamica en una planta de irradiacion semi industrial. Se modelan los efectos de los desplazamientos lateral y vertical del producto con respecto al irradiador, asi como su irradiacion por ambos lados del irradiador. Se compara la distribucion de tasa de dosis absorbida y su indice de uniformidad para distintos tipos de productos. Se aplica el modelo a una situacion real de irradiacion de un producto y se obtiene un acuerdo aceptable con los valores experimentales. Tambien se modelo otra situacion de interes en una planta de irradiacion: la tasa de dosis absorbida en aire atras del producto; el acuerdo con los valores experimentales es aceptable. (autor)Files
