Description
Interaction of Schamel type ion acoustic solitary waves is investigated through the extended version of Poincaré-Lighthill-Kuo method. The most important characteristic i.e., the phase shift is derived on the background of the Schamel type Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations through the derivation of special solutions. In physically acceptable parameters regime, it has shown that the impact of electron trapping, negative ion density and non-extensivity have crucial role to change the phase shift. Electronegative plasmas have been reported in Space and astrophysical plasmas. With reference to Laboratory observation, electronegative plasma comprising of electron trapping may be allowed to enrich plasma research. (author)
