Description

In neutron diffraction experiment precision data about crystal and magnetic structures of SrRuO3 have been obtained. In the ferromagnetic state the ordered Ru magnetic moment is equal to μRu=(1.63±0.06) μB at T=10 K. This value agrees well with the results of recent t calculations, predicting the possibility of the band ferromagnetism in SrRuO3 with reduced ordered moment. Crystal structure of SrRuO3 remains unchanged in the temperature range of 1.5-290 K. It was found also that the so-called 'Invar effect' in SrRuO3 (zero thermal expansion) below phase transition into ferromagnetic phase, is conditioned by mutual rotation of oxygen octahedra
