Radiotherapy effect on activity of proteolytic system in tumor and unchangeable adjacent tissue in patients with breast cancer

Description

Activity of acid and neutral proteinases in 90 patients with mammary gland cancer is studied. All patients were subjected to surgical treatment. 23 of them were operated after conducting a course of radiotherapy. Low activity of acid proteinases and high activity of the inhibitor in the irradiated tumor is estimated as a result of radiotherapy suppressing one of the mechanisms of malignant tumor. Values of the proteinologic system are suggested to be used as a criterion of radiotherapy efficiency
