Signs of quadrupole moments in /sup 147/Gd
Description
A recently discovered atomic process has proved suitable for measurements of magnetic moments and signs of quadrupole moments in high spin levels excited in (HI,xn) reactions. This is the titled foil polarization of ions traversing foils whose normal n-vector is tilted to the ion velocity vector v-vector or the grazing angle scattering of such ions from polished surfaces
