Description

Scheelite type based oxide ion conducting materials like PbWO4, BaMoO4, SrMoO4 having more ion conductivity and it can also be used as electrolyte for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (ITSOFC) applications. The present work aims to develop nanocrystalline La3+ doped SrMoO4 to increase the ionic conductivity for ITSOFC applications. Nanocrystalline lanthanum doped SrMoO4 samples were prepared by acrylamide assisted combustion process. All the samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR and SEM-EDX techniques. For the sintered lanthanum doped SrMoO4 crystalline material, electrical conductivity of grain and grain boundary effects respectively evaluated from the impedance plot, measured at different temperatures.
