Proton and hole conductivity of CaO doped rare earth oxides in moist atmosphere
Description
A comparative study of high-temperature ion and hole transfer in the series of rare earth oxides with C-type cubic structure and doped with calcium oxides is conducted. Rare earth oxides from dysprosium to lutetium as well as scandium and yttrium doped with 0.01 or 0.01-1.0 mol % of CaO are used for investigations. It is shown that in humid or hydrogen-containing atmosphere the ion conductivity of solid solutions of RO1.5 + 1 mol % of CaO (R-rare earths) is conditioned by proton transfer
