Phenomenon due to lack of treatment programs in the operation of electrical devices

Some experiences on repairing of many electrical equipment have given some practical knowledge's that how important of a maintenance program to be conducted continuously. Three examples of practical phenomena on lack of maintenance program and the necessity of measurement using a correct tool as well as an example of how to define the points of location under surveillance of predictive maintenance program using FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) will be discussed in this paper. These examples are the evidence and information (facts) that maintenance program and utilizing an apt measurement tool are absolutely necessary to be conducted to maintain the reliability of equipment as well as installation. FTA technique is not only used at a design phase but also can be used at planning and maintenance activities. (author)
