Current procedures for RI contamination in nuclear medical facilities

Description

In December 1984, questionnaires were sent to 609 nuclear medical facilities in Japan. Records obtained from 277 respondents (46 %) were searched for: 1) the outline of facilities, such as the scale and major RI to be used, 2) prevention of contamination, and decontamination procedures, including chemical decontamination, for skin, materials, clothes, and equipments, 3) contamination examination covering the number and methods of regular or irregular measurements of dose distributions, and 4) current status of contamination from November 1, 1983 through October 30, 1984.
