Investigation into thermal stability of trivalent cerium silicates
Creators
Description
Heating of trivalent cerium silicates 7Ce2O3x9SiO2 and 2K2OxCe2O3x8SiO2xnH2O in air has been studied by thermography and X-ray technique. The compounds show no structural changes Up to 600 dea C. Above this temperature they Undergo decomposition involving cerium oxidation. The final products of decomposition are cerium dioxide and silica or potassium glass respectively
