This conference was held June 15--17, 1994 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as part of the Environmental Management and Technology and Exhibition/International. The objective of this conference was to provide a multidisciplinary forum for exchange of state-of-the-art information for environmental monitoring and remedial action planning of hazardous materials. In the last few years, important advances have been made in the management of hazardous materials. Individual papers have been processed separately for inclusion in the appropriate data bases
