Studies of resonance production in γ collisions by the crystal ball

  • 1. Harvard Univ., Cambridge, MA (USA)

Description

Two-photon collisions have proven to be important tool for studying the quark content of light mesons. The Crystal Ball detector has been able to study the γγ production of many mesons which have decays to final states consisting entirely of photons. These results are complementary to those obtained by magnetic detectors, and in some cases, inaccessible to them. In this report, the authors present results on δ(980) and A2(1320) production, as well as preliminary results on η and η' production. They also observe π0 production
