An airborne infrared astronomy program: system description and preliminary results

Description

The 32-cm airborne telescope has been mounted on the Cv-990 from NASA and extensively used during and after a Spacelab operations simulation period. The instrument was equipped with a four-channels photometer covering the spectral range 30-200 μm. Extensive study of noise behaviour at the tropopause boundary was made. Preliminary results for M17, W51 and rhoOph are given. (author)
