Produce externally in zirconium alloy, its manufacturing process and its utilization
Description
Addition of nickel (70 to 300 ppm) to zirconium alloys (zircaloy 4) strongly enhances the resistance to nodular corrosion without increasing hydrogen absorption. This Ni addition allows an extension of the mechanical and thermal transformations possibilities (co-extrusion duplex or triplex for cladding, foil, ingot) for BWR or PWR components.
