Kinetic Electron Emission and Fast Ion Bombardment
Description
A short review of recent experimental data on kinetic electron emission under fast ion bombardment and review of ideas concerning the mechanism of these phenomena are given. The main attention is devoted to the dependences of kinetic emission on ion velocity, atomic number, charge, mass, angle of incidence etc. The structure effects found in kinetic emission from single crystals are described. An attempt to draw attention to unexplored aspects of the subject of electron emission under fast ion bombardment, both theoretically and experimentally, is made. The review does not pretend to be a comprehensive collection of all the data on kinetic electron emission, but all ideas are discussed. (author)

Daetsja kratkij obzor poslednih jeksperimental'nyh dannyh po kineticheskoj jelektronnoj jemissii v rezul'tate bombardirovki bystrymi ionami i obzor teorij, kasajushhihsja mehanizma jetogo javlenija. Glavnoe vnimanie obrashhaetsja na zavisimost' kineticheskoj jemissii ot skorosti ionov, atomnogo nomera, zarjada, massy, ugla udarenija i t.d. Opisano vlijanie struktury kristalla na kineticheskuju jemissiiju v odinochnyh kristallah. Sdelana popytka teoreticheski i jeksperimental'no objasnit' rjad neizvestnyh javlenij v oblasti jelektronnoj jemissii pod vlijaniem bombardirovki bystrymi ionami. Dannyj obzor ne pretenduet na podbor vseh dannyh, kasajushhihsja kinetiki jelektronnoj jemissii, no obsuzhdaet vse idei v jetom napravlenii. (author)Additional details
