Operational specific features of the system of localized automated regulators and ionization chambers in the case of weighted summation of signals from the chambers
Description
Advantages of weighted summation introducing when using the systems of localized automatied regulators (LAR) and lateral ionization chambers (LIC) for the RBMK reactor neutron power control are investigated. It is revealed that the quality of the reactor power distribution control system operating according to signals of lateral ionization chambers can be improved if not only signal from the chamber of the given LAR-LIC system but weighted sum of signals from all or several chambers of the system are taken into account when forming the signals for rod replacement. Positive effect is achived by selecting the weight coefficients and the width of insensitivity zone in quite definite mutual correspondence. On the basis of the conducted analysis it is concluded that the weighted summation introduction permits to improve operating qualities of the LAR-LIC system and to increase its fast-response
