Internal gravitational potential of inhomogeneous galaxies

Description

A solution for the internal gravitational potential of a body with a general density distribution has been derived. However, the boundary surface of the model is a sphere. It is shown that there are neither principal nor practical difficulties in deriving a quite general solution with a general closed boundary surface. (author). 3 refs
