Process for locating leaking cans of fuel elements of a nuclear reactor
Description
A mixture of He, Ne 20 and Ne 22 gases is introduced into the fuel element cans of the sodium-cooled reactor before setting to work. Defective cans can be located by continuous mass spectroscopic monitoring of the reactor protective gas for these indicator gases. (DG)

In die Umhuellungen der Brennstoffelemente des mit Na gekuehlten Reaktors werden vor Inbetriebnahme ein Gasgemisch aus He, Ne-20 und Ne-22 eingebracht. Durch eine laufende massenspektroskopische Ueberwachung des Reaktorschutzgases auf diese Indikatorgase koennen defekte Umhuellungen lokalisiert werden. (DG)Files
