Das Buch ist in zwei Teile gegliedert. Im Teil 1 'Grundlagen' werden die Physiologie des Sehens, die Erfassung der Bildguete, die Wirkung der Gamma- und Roentgenstrahlen, das Prinzip der Computer-Roentgenschnittbildtechnik, die kernmagnetische Resonanz sowie die Ultraschalltechnik ausfuehrlich behandelt. Teil 2 'Technische Loesungen' beschreibt die speziellen Verfahren der Roentgendiagnostik, der Computertomographie, der nuklearmedizinischen Diagnostik, der Kernspintomographie und der Sonographie.
