Description

The standard defines the preparation, technical specifications, testing, packaging and transport of specifically labelled [6-3H]uracil, [5-3H]uracil and [5,6-3H]uracil. The said specifically labelled uracils are prepared by catalytic dehalogenation of the respective halogenuracils by gaseous tritium in the presence of a palladium catalyst. From the reaction mixture the products are separated chromatographically. (J.P.)
