Measurement of radon, thoron progeny concentrations in a thorium, uranium handling facility at Kalpakkam

Description
In view of the potential hazard for internal exposure to the occupational workers, measurement of radon, thoron and their daughters in a thorium, uranium-handling facility assumes significance. This paper presents the results of a detailed study carried out in such a facility by filter paper sampling and alpha detection and analysis of data using the five-count method. (author)
