A linearly expanding universe
Description
The question of the relation between radial velocity or apparent redshift and distance is examined to determine if there is any possibility of gross departures from the Hubble Law which relates redshift (Z) linearly to distance (d). Formulating alternative possibilities of the form d is proportional to Z to beta power, it is found that beta 0.987 + or - 0.015 for the sample studied. This argues strongly that redshift is directly proportional to distance
