Excitation function for the production of 123I via the 127I(p,5n) 123Xe reaction
- 1. Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands)
Description
The results of measurements of the excitation function in the energy range of 43 to 66 Mev of the 127I(p, 5n)123Xe and 127I(p, 3n)125Xe reactions reported here are compared with those of Wilkins et al (Int. J. Appl. Radiat. Isotop.; 26:279 (1975)) and found to be substantially lower. Sources of error are discussed. (U.K.)
