The Zr contribution to the electronic transport of amorphous Cu 1-X ZrX

Description

The r term of the thermoelectric power expression was calculated from experimental data for the electric resistivity of metal alloys in the extension of Faber-Ziman theory to metallic glasses. With this aim it was employed the scattering matrix formalism and the dependence of the energy of the phase displacements which are contained in it. The results are compared to the experimental data and a deviation with respect to composition is observed, although similarities found in liquid metal alloys. (M.W.O.)

Abstract (Portuguese)

A partir de dados experimentais para a resistividade eletrica de ligas amorfas do tipo Cu (1-x) Zr (x) foi calculado o termo r da expressao do poder termoelectrico segundo a teoria de Faber-Ziman extendida para os vidros metalicos. Para tal foi utilizado o formalismo de matrizes de espalhamento e as dependencias com a energia dos deslocamentos de fase que os compoem. Os resultados obtidos sao comparados aos resultados experimentais e mostram nao seguir a mesma funcionalidade em relacao a composicao, apesar de serem similares aos encontrados para ligas metalicas liquidas.
