A systematic study of the (n,p) and (n,n'p) reactions on titanium isotopes

Description
Geometry-dependent hybrid and Hauser-Feshbach model calculations were performed for (n,p), (n,n'p) and (n,2n) reaction cross-sections for stable titanium isotopes in the energy range from threshold to 20 MeV. A consistent set of input parameters was established. The single-particle level density used in the pre-equilibrium emission calculation was related to the level density parameter of the Hauser-Feshbach calculations, including its energy dependence. Consequently, lower pre-equilibrium emission fractions were obtained. Systematics of the pre-equilibrium and statistical contributions to (n,p) reaction cross-sections are analysed in connection with the isotope effect put into evidence by the titanium data. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Wirkungsquerschnitte stabiler Titanisotope fuer (n,p)-, (n,n'p)- und (n,2n)-Reaktionen im Energiebereich Neutronenschwelle bis 20 MeV wurden im Rahmen des geometrieabhaengigen Hybridmodells und des Hauser-Feshbach-Modells berechnet. Ein einheitlicher Satz von Eingangsparametern wurde ermittelt. Die bei der Berechnung der Vorgleichgewichts-Emission benutzte Einzelteilchen-Niveaudichte wurde zu der Niveaudichte einer Hauser-Feshbach-Rechnung in Beziehung gesetzt, unter Beruecksichtigung der Energieabhaengigkeit. Infolgedessen ergab sich ein verringerter Anteil von Vorgleichgewichts-Emissionen. Vorgleichgewichts- und statistische Beitraege zu den (n,p)-Wirkungsquerschnitten werden, unter Beruecksichtigung des Isotopeneffekts an den Titankernen, systematisch untersucht.
