Thermodynamic stability of anomalous drift wave transport
Description
The anomalous transport of particles and energy due to drift wave fluctuations in high temperature plasmas is derived and shown to lead to a positive definite form for the rate of internal entropy production. The entropy production functional is the Lyapounov function for the thermodynamic system and is used to investigate the thermal stability of the steady state transport. (author)
