Description

The forecasting procedure of the short-term solar flare prediction problem was discussed. The scheme of the prediction procedure contains four main problems: the question of the preparation of the predicting algorithm; the evaluation of the prediction quality; the question of the extrapolation of the predicting function and the question of the utilization of the information comprised in badly forecasted events. I indicate the possibility of the improvement of the prediction quality owing to the use of the statistical methods. 17 refs., 1 fig. (author)
