Monte Carlo study of the dose dependence of depth with the parameters for radiotherapy in photon beam

Description
In this paper we propose a theoretical study of the photon fields used for radiation treatments. Using Monte Carlo simulations will be studied the behavior of the Deep-Dose and the isodose curves in a water phantom simulator , in depending on different parameters such as type and energy of the radiation, distance between source and surface, and size and depth of the irradiation field. The results will be compared with empirical and analytical models, and with experimental measurements to be carried out at the pump Cobalt 60 and in the linear accelerator in the Manoel Novaes Hospital at Itabuna.
