Results from MARK III on the J//psi/ decays

Description

The MARK III detector at the SPEAR e+e/sup /minus// storage ring at SLAC accumulated a data sample of 5.8 /times/ 106 J//psi/ produced in 1982, '83 and '85. Recent results in radiative decays, including different decay modes of the /eta//sub c/ and the search for scalars, are presented. The systematic study of the hadronic decays of the J//psi/ into a vector-tensor meson pair is discussed, and a detailed analysis of the decay mode J//psi/ → ωf2(1270) is described. 12 refs., 12 figs., 1 tab
