Method for calculating the albedo characteristics of multizone blocks in heterogeneous systems

Description

The technique for the calculation of albedo characteristics of multilayer cylindrical blocks composed of arbitrary number and combination of breeding, absorbing and scattering zones has been developed within the framework of the method of the first collision probability. A high-speed program for calcualtion of albedo matrices of complex blocks has been drawn up for the BESM-6 computer in the multigroup representation. The comparison of adduced calculation results shows that albedo matrices obtained with the proposed method for the most typical heterogeneous particularities do not yield in accuracy to calculation results by the Monto-Carlo method. Albedo characteristics calculation program is a part of the complex calculation program of heterogeneous system on the two-group approximation
