  • 1. Nuclear Power Plants Research Institute Trnava, Inc., Okruzna 5, 918 64 Trnava (Slovakia)

Description

Thermohydraulic calculation analysis of unit response at nuclear power plant Mochovce during 'Station black out' according to approved script and temperature growth analysis in selected important areas with appraisal of possibility of exceeding the functional limits (from increasing the temperature) for important technologic systems necessary for coping with 'Station black out' has been performed in the document. 'Station black out' is defined as: a loss of operating and duplicate feed for own consumption for entire power plant , it means both 440 MW blocks of external network , on one of the blocks 220 MW alternators stopped working, safety of the unit-2 is secured by at least one working safety system, they stay working secured only by accumulator batteries, there was not any accident or breakdown immediately after and during 'Station black out' as considered by project. Thermohydraulic analysis of block response during 'Station black out' has been performed for primary circuit including storage pool without considering radiation consequence, secondary circuit and hermetic areas according to procedure mentioned in emergency rules under precisely defined conditions
