Spectrophotometric study of rare earth extraction with 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphtol(PAN)

Description
Extraction of rare earth pyridylazonaphtholates by chlo-- roform from chloride solutions is studied. It is found that at pH 8-10 rare earths (except La, Nd, Pr and Y) are extracted as complex compounds of the MR2A composition. pHsub(1/2) values and extraction constants of extracted compounds are determined
