Removal of radium from acidic solutions containing same
Creators
Description
Coal fly ash is used to adsorb the radium from an acidic solution. The radium carrying ash is then separated from the solution. Ash separated from an acidic aqueous solution may be incorporated in a refractory matrix material. The process may also be used to recover radium from an inorganic acid solution containing radium, uranium and thorium. It may be used in the treatment of acidic leachate from uranium mill tailings
