Application of capillary isotachophoresis in analysis of decontamination solutions and radioactive liquid wastes
Description
Isotachophoresis, a method enabling mixtures of ionogenic materials in solutions to be analyzed, provides in several minutes data on the qualitative and quantitative sample composition, the error of determination ranging between 1 and 3%. The method can be used in quantitating tens of ng of compounds. It differs from classical electrophoresis in the use of two electrolytes, viz., the leading and the terminating electrolytes. It can be used in nuclear power plants in analyses of acid decontamination solutions, liquid radioactive wastes, etc. (M.D.). 2 figs
