Analysis of carbon content in crude brown coal by inelastic scattering of neutrons and the method of time correlated associated particles
Description
First experimental results of carbon content detrmination in graphite and brown coal samples are presented. The #betta#-radiation after inelastic scattering of 14-MeV neutrons is measured. To suppress the intense background the time correlated associated particle method (TCAMP) is used. The applicability of this method for determining the calorific value of brown coal is discussed.
