Monte carlo code system evaluating effective dose equivalent for neutron exposure
- 1. Central Research Inst. of Electric Power Industry, Komae, Tokyo (Japan). Komae Research Lab.
Description
The neutron dose calculation system, which evaluates the effective dose equivalent for neutron exposure using the MIRD phantom model, has been developed for radiation management according to the recommendation of the ICRP Publication 26. The validity of the code system was confirmed by analyzing the neutron dose equivalent distribution in the MIRD phantom. The calculated results agree with the measured values within uncertainty of about twenty percent. (author)
