The work developed until 1974 by the group of IPR (Instituto de Pesquisas Radioativas - MG, Brazil) responsible for the treatment of radioative wastes, is presented. The evaporation of liquid effluents of medium level activity, the treatment of gaseous effluents, the vitrification of high level liquid wastes and the sites for the final disposal of wastes are discussed

Apresenta-se o trabalho desenvolvido ate 1974 pelo grupo de tratamento de rejeitos radioativos do IPR (Instituto de Pesquisas Radioativas, MG, Brasil). Discute-se a evaporacao de efluentes liquidos de nivel medio de atividade, o tratamento de efluentes gasosos, a vitrificacao de rejeitos liquidos de alto nivel e o local de disposicao final dos rejeitos
