Influence of the axial flux redistribution on the reactivity of a pressurized-water reactor

Description

As the reactivity release through axial flux redistribution in power reduction is always maximum for the end of the cycle while this moment is already the most critical one for shutting down a reactor without this effect, the reactivity release with load reduction must either be calculated in 3D, or the axial flux redistribution must be additionally considered in 2D (x-y) calculations. Da die Reaktivitaetsfreisetzung durch axiale Flussumverteilung bei Leistungsreduzierung immer fuer das Zyklusende maximal wird, dieser Zeitpunkt aber schon ohne diesen Effekt der kritischste fuer die Abschaltbarkeit eines Reaktors ist, muss die Reaktivitaetsfreisetzung bei Lastsenkung entweder in 3D gerechnet oder aber bei 2D (x-y)-Rechnungen die axiale Flussumverteilung zusaetzlich beruecksichtigt werden.
