Gamma absorptiometric determination of the uranium content of solutions
Description
Gamma absorptiometers are well adapted for on-line determination dissolved heavy elements such as uranium. Two kinds of devices are described: the first one is very simple but it can't work when there is more than 0,1mCi/l of fission products the other one is more sophisticated, the gamma beam is chopped and the apparatus works for solutions containing fission products up to 100 Ci/l-1

Les absorptiometres gamma se pretent bien a la mesure en ligne des concentrations des solutions en elements lourds tels que l'uranium. Deux sortes d'appareils sont decrits: l'un, d'une realisation tres simple, convient lorsque les niveaux d'activite sont inferieurs a 0,1mCi/litre de produits de fission, l'autre plus complexe comprend un systeme de modulation du faisceau gamma et peut etre utilise pour des solutions actives contenant jusqu'a 100Ci/litre de produits de fissionFiles
