Urinary excretion rate of 241Am produced in vivo
Creators
Description
The urinary excretion rates of plutonium and americium of two individuals have been determined 10,000 days after they received intravenous injections of plutonium. The results for plutonium excretion by these two cases have been published elsewhere. After the observation of 241Am in bone samples from another plutonium injection case, it was decided to determine the amount of 241Am present in the urine samples of these two cases and a sensitive method for the determination of 241Am in the urine was developed
