Uses of superconducting rf structures in pion beams at LAMPF
- 1. Los Alamos National Lab., NM (USA)
Description
Calculations indicate that a single-cell superconducting rf cavity can be used to reduce the energy spread of a secondary pion beam. Such a device would increase the pion flux in a small energy spread pion beam at the Low Energy Pion channel at LAMPF by more than a factor of 5. (orig.)
