Fine-grain quartz pre-dose technique in TL dating
- 1. City University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)
- 2. Shanghai Museum (China)
Description
Three usual measurement methods (multiple activation technique, additive dose method and spike technique) for the pre-dose technique in thermoluminescence dating are discussed and the fine-grain quartz method has been described in detail. The results show that the fine-grain quartz method is not only simple, but also decreasing in errors of multiple activation, test dose and normalization. In addition, by using this method quite small ages (10-100 year) are possible to be accurately evaluated
