Going down: US O and M costs
Creators
Description
In 1991 the average cost of a MWh(net) of electricity generated by nuclear power in the US was $21.59, down from $21.89/MWh the previous year. This was the second year in a row that operations and maintenance (O and M) costs dropped following a decade of climbing nuclear costs which in 1987, for the first time, exceeded those of coal-fired plants.
