Description

Complete text of publication follows. An analysis of the total ozone over the Balkan region is presented. For this purpose data from the SCIAMACHY experiment on board the ENVISAT satellite are used. The investigation is made for Athens (37 deg 59' N, 23 deg 46' E), Thessaloniki (40 deg 31'N, 22 deg 58' E), Sofia (42 deg 39' N, 23 deg 23' E) and Bucharest (44 deg 28' N, 26 deg 17'E) in the 5-year period 2004-2008. A comparison between the courses of the monthly mean ozone values over these places is shown. The calculated linear ozone trend for this time interval is analyzed.
