Small-sized Ring Coupler on Compact Structural Elements
Description
In this work, the design of the ring coupler is investigated to reduce its size, with the possible preservation of its characteristics. So with the help of compact structural elements, the space occupied by the device was reduced, with a central operating frequency of 1000 MHz. The area of the device has been reduced by 80%, relative to the area of the standard device. With such a miniaturization, the frequency band was reduced by only 10%. The proposed miniaturization technique can be applied to any microstrip devices. (paper)
