Fuel assembly for nuclear reactor

A description is given of the fuel element package for a fast nuclear reactor. The invension purpose is to improve the reliability spacing the peripheral fuel elements and to improve the process assembling the fuel element package. In the fuel element package suggested the spacers are assembled with the use of lateral plates. Such assembled spacers are installed at each face of the fuel element bunch when manufacturing the package. The suggested design of spacers provides for reliable spacing of the peripheral fuel elements in the package and guarantees more uniform cooling of all the fuel elements in a package. This decreases the maximum temperature of the fuel element cladding by 10 to 15 deg C without reducing the coolant temperature, increases the package reliability, and improves the practices of the package assembling
