Ultrafast MR imaging with the snapshot-FLARE method

Description

The Snapshot-FLASH method is a fast method for the acquisition of MR images in 100-800 msec with use of conventional MR equipment. Data are acquired with a FLARE sequence generating 64 or 128 echoes through the application of refocusing pulses with low flip angles between 5 degrees and 60 degrees. Each echo is phase encoded differently in order to generate a dataset for two- dimensional image reconstruction. The echo spacing (TE) - and therefore the acquisition time - determine the T2 contrast of the resulting images. Results are described
