Optimization of silicon crystal shielding. Crystal thermal heating calculation
Description
A shielding was designed for the silicon crystal in DONA1 and DONA2 irradiation channels so that the change of thermal neutron flux along the height of 300 mm should not exceed 10%. The core of the LVR-15 reactor with the two channels was modelled for the MCNP-4B code. Neutron flux distribution calculations along the Si single crystal height in the channels with several types of stepwise shielding made of stainless steel were carried out. (author)
