Nonlinear effects and nonmonotonic relaxation of magnetization in 3He-B

Description

Magnetic relaxation in spatially homogeneous 3He-B is investigated within the framework of the Leggett-Takagi theory. The following results were obtained with the external magnetic field turned off: the averaged equation of motion of the magnetization, the spatial configuration of the magnetization and of the order parameter under conditions corresponding to the presence of an attractor in the solutions of the Leggett-Takagi equations, and the instability produced near the extinction of the nonlinear-ringing frequency by the interaction of the dissipative and nonlinear effects generated by the topological structure of the order-parameter space. A weak periodic external magnetic field induces a stochastic spin-dynamics regime
