Phenomenological analysis of energy shifts and widths of kaonic atoms
Description
The authors analyze kaonic atoms in terms of the phenomenological optical potential of Woods-Saxon form. By fitting data of kaonic atoms, the authors obtain an optimal set of optical potential parameters. Comparing this optical potential near surface of nucleus with other optical potentials obtained in some successful research works, the authors find that they are in rather good agreement with each other. On the other hand, the imaginary part of our potential between kaon and nucleus is similar to that between nucleon and nucleus, but the real part of the potential between kaon and nucleus is much deeper and narrower in radial distribution.
